Six Non Technical Things I hate about women at work!

Six Non Technical Things I hate about women at work!
1) Asking for exceptions because you are a woman!
I totally understand that being a woman is not easy, that you have other responsibilities, but if you expect to do less work and get the same salary or appreciation as men, then you're illusionist!
And no, leaving early is not your right, at any company you are a human being who has rights yes but also has duties.
At work you are a human being, with no gender labels.
2) Crying!
I do know that it hurts to feel disrespect, unappreciated or humiliated, I know, but if you think it's okay to show your weak side at work because you are a woman, then you are wrong!
It will only show you as a weak person who can't handle pressure.
I actually learned this lesson the hard way, One day I felt so stressed,so down, so devastated,I sat with my direct manager "who by they way had the trust of the world in me" ,and while expressing my concerns and worries,I cried! Me! yeah!
And the results were awful,The man handled the situation yes,but he received one message, " she can't even bear pressure! I can't promote her!"
Yea, I learned it the hard way.

3) Relocation and location problems
"Work is too far", " My mom fears for my safety", "oh no I can't visit that client,he is far, may somebody go with me?"
Girls, what's that! Are we in kindergarten?! We are at work by the way, so if you can't deal with this, then stay home!
4) Taking things personally.
I understand that we as women take things too personal, but this is not right. if your boss gets angry of your terrible report, it's not because he has bad secret intentions for you, also if your boss is a woman, stop thinking her comments on your work is out of jealousy! Just concentrate on your work, no one has a hidden agenda for you!
5) Playing the victim!
I'm sorry, who said being the victim is something good? Yea that might get you out of some troubles, but you won't reach far! Just confront people, problems and situations, no need for a victim role here.
6) Asking for respect and appreciation
you can never ask for respect, you impose it!
Draw your red lines clear for everyone, make them fear the ugly face behind that sweet wise look,
And don't wait for appreciation, most managers never show it, be a self motivated person who believes self appreciation is much better, who draws her road well regardless of what management/managers do or say!

I totally know how things can get out of control, work is never meant to be a heaven, it's a battlefield with yourself, and it's your decision at the end, either to be that girl/woman from the 3rd floor or to be "The" brilliant manager/employee, who can't be missed or forgotten, with no gender labels

Dreams' Hunter!

Dreams' Hunter!

I've faced a lot of negativity through my life; many are related to my career path, Facing those who measure their dreams with money and those who say “you can’t” more than any other phrase!
I've met a lot of people who claimed they know enough about business and enough about life, who have stated that in order to reach your dreams you won’t be younger than 30 years old or 40!
If you yourself meet such people in your life, here below are some simple rules you have to follow if you really, REALLY, want to reach your dreams!

1)      Learn from others mistakes, but never let negativity crash your door!
Have a sneak peak at what others have done in their lives, Try to check what the man or woman who have the position of your dreams have done through their career paths and try not to copy it, But do better than it! LinkedIn is a good spot that you can start doing this, for e.g. if you wish to be a CFO ,Try checking profiles of those who have similar positions and check how they were able to reach it.

2)      When people tell you “Nah, You can’t! Let it be the fuel to make you move forward!”.
People always tend to push others to the ground in order to prevent them reaching what they have failed to reach, so forget about all that, and keep moving forward!

3)      As always “In case you don’t succeed, dust yourself and TRY AGAIN”
Believe me, nothing comes from the first time, learning is not easy! So don’t expect getting things through the easy way, hard ways are the best in adding to your experience!

4)      Keep your eyes on your life!
Have a close monitor at  your life, do not let years pass without any new success, make each year full of achievements , even if they are small ones, But make each year a one step forward to your biggest dream!.

5)      Make financial sacrifices!
We all love to get paid well, But gaining experience is more valuable, so don’t be tempted with a job with a big salary but with no good reference in your CV neither a good add to your experience, because you’ll wake up after couple of years realizing that if you want to change your job you’ll be treated like zero experience man and at that point you’ll worth nothing in the business world!

6)      Challenge?! Thank god, let’s get into the fire!
When you find any opportunity that is really challenging and difficult but will add to your experience and knowledge, don’t hesitate and jump into it! I remember all the times I faced challenges and I suffered of many sleepless nights and unbearable pressure, but when I look at the experience outcome, I thank god that these challenges knocked my door!

7)      Know yourself better than any psychiatrist!
The beginning of any good presentation, is when you know and study the subject in an excellent manner, the same happens with yourself, If you searched within yourself of what makes you special, of what makes any business seek for you, and which job suits you better, You’ll be able to wow!

8)      Believe! But don’t be self conceited!
Believe in yourself, because no one buys from a hesitant seller! People love believers, and find them credible, But they hate snobby people, and find them arrogant and ignorant!

9)      Plan for your life! But don’t do over planning!
A good plan for your life and what you want to achieve is highly crucial, but don’t be obsessed with this! Because we are not sure of what may happen on our next day, so do plan but consider a percentage of delay “I don’t like calling it a failure because any unsuccessful plan is just a delayed plan that will be achieved”, and of course have a contingency plan! As I always say, always have a plan D! Not just B!

10)   Passion is the key!
And finally! My favourite secret recipe! It’s do it with passion or just don’t!
Passionate workers are the best, and are the most successful and guess what they are the least to feel tired and the least to complain! Who would complain of eating a tasty piece of chocolate?! Or buying a gift for his loved ones! Your job is your passion! If it’s not, then you are at the wrong Job sir!

The secret Treasure! – (1)

The secret Treasure! – (1)

Dear Team leader ,manager, or company owner,
Have you ever thought that you might own a secret treasure you know nothing about? What about a mine of gold, or Diamonds' field?! “And where is that? In the fantasy world?!” Actually no, all of this is found in your team members, your company staff, who have lots of hidden potentials that await you to uncover!
It sometimes needs just to clean the dusty surface above them & tease their inner powers to evolve! It simply starts with LISTENING and not to just hear, but to be fully open to their ideas, suggestions, their problems and most important of all is to RESPOND, make sure to make use of everything they say, make them know you appreciate what they say and make them say even more!

I even wonder why all “managers” handle work with the same way everyone else use? People hate work, that’s how lots of people feel, It’s your job to make them ENJOY what they do, not to just finish the job. Come up of ways to make meetings in a different way, let them enjoy their smallest success, join any activity together where you can easily discuss small work issues within. If you can’t come up with new ideas for this, then do not accuse your team of not being creative or problem solvers, because simply you are not!
And Why do you look at your team members as if they are couple of extra hands to handle “YOUR” work?, You have to know that great part of your job as a team leader/ manager is to get these people learn and improve, In order to be able to handle your job one day, So it’s your duty to track their performance and develop ways to make them get better.

Nobody in this whole world can see the whole picture alone, and I’m sorry to say whatever your position is or your experience level, you won’t ever be able to see it alone. You need different people to complete it! Have you ever thought of gathering all the company staff/team members and let them TALK, just to talk about anything and everything, about the company, about its products, about life, economy or political situations …everything.
Believe me this will never be a waste for your time, this will make you see things you didn't know about, make you get in touch with everyone that works inside your company and might help you to complete the missing puzzle piece of why sales are falling or why customers hate your new display!

In a nutshell you own it all inside your company, all what you need in order to reach your great objectives, it starts with the great powers in the people around you, you only have to be the Orchestra conductor who knows the capabilities of each instrument, knows how to use it well, swings his magical stick to keep the tones as planned, stands between the Orchestra members sharing their moments of failure and success and Always, always there for rescue at any moment!

Sales people and Hitman Job!

Sales people and Hitman Job!

Sometimes I feel sales people are undercover hitmen! They keep watching the customer through their spyglasses, seeking his point of weakness and then BANG! The customer Drops dead! Poor customer… but no, actually the hitman is the poor one, customers’ will definitely have a better place in heaven of what they face with sales people and C.S agents but that is a delayed story to be discussed;
Our poor hitman planned the whole job just to empty the customer’s pockets, seeking anything he may find with him, maybe just 5 pounds, maybe 50 pounds! But he simply didn't know that the dead body in front of him owned castles, fleet of cars or maybe just a long list of other possible “TARGETS!” and our hitman will reach none of all of this!

That’s how I personally describe what goes around with sales people, they only want to sell! Regardless of the customer’s real need, & even if the customer will figure out their lies once he gets home, starts using the product and feels disappointed, regardless of how many times he will share his bad experience with everyone he knows, his friends, family, even his car mechanic, and with one click on the post button on FB or Twitter, The company/brand life is OVER!

Actually this whole problem is not only the sales people mistake, actually they are the least to be blamed, It’s their supervisor’s problem and the management problem, How is that?! It’s your problem dear business owner who could not make these sales people understand how precious the customer is when alive, NOT when dead! Meaning: long relationship with customers is far valuable than the hit& run job that sales staff do! It’s your problem Mr. supervisor who couldn't put a well designed process for tracking what your staff do, a work environment and an understanding that makes them feel passion in what they do, make them give the customer a truthful smile not a fake one! It’s your problem dear management who couldn't deliver your main vision to all those who work in your company, and preferred to lock it in your own treasury box! That doesn't mean that sometimes it’s the sales people problem, but again if so, Mr. Supervisor, what did you do about that?!Nothing! You just felt happy with the sales records they made, and overlooked the long run side effects!

Guys, do not blame the customer now if he was smarter than you are and figured the whole game out, at the end he will find his what’s like “witness protection program” in our case it shall be “Customer protection program”, which will be your competitor’s brand who truly cared for him and that’s when you won’t even get the 50 pounds that are in his pocket!

Why does the company I work in pay me money?!

Why does the company I work in pay me money?!
Well yea I do ask myself that question a lot, I only go to work to have fun and enjoy what I’m doing!.Lots of my friends wonder why I’m thinking of what’s so called “work” as 24/7 duty, why I’m talking about it as if it’s my crush, eyes sparkle & heart beats increase!
Maybe because they never tasted how it’s like to be passionate about something, to love it and feel yourself in each piece of it, to feel that each gift god granted you were for a reason, and that thing is the reason!

I’m a modest marketer who have modest experience in marketing, but what makes me “me”, is not how many years I worked, neither how many books I read, neither how many studies I made, It’s about that crazy obsession about marketing, Once I handle a brand I get so loyal to it, I polish it well and let its great features shine, same as when you put new clothes on your kid in the first day to school, look at him and feel “PROUD”!
Sounds great RIGHT?! Well that’s never a one man job, and I’m that person who believes teamwork goes beyond doing work together, it’s about being the never broken link, the honest care, love and the belief in each member’s potentials that will definitely add to the whole team!

Well you might be asking why “Marketing” specifically? I might answer you,”you don’t choose whom you love either! But well no, that’s not my answer, actually think of it well, whom are the customer mind reader and interpreter?! Who can dig into deep and grab your company/brand best features? Who carries the magical stick that turns a dull rock into the most desirable thing in the world? I guess now you know the answer, they are “Marketers”, and NOT any marketers , recently a lot of people entered the field because they find it JUST interesting, well bad news for you guys, That’s not marketing you playing with, the only way to shine in marketing is not only to love it, but to get insanely heavily crazy about it!
